Appraisals

An appraisal is a written document providing an opinion with respect to the replacement value or fair market value of an item. Ruggiero & Associates offers formal appraisal documents for insurance, Estate tax, charitable contribution, family division, or fair market value purposes. Inventories and appraisals are the initial and most vital part of the Estate planning and Estate settlement process, providing the client, family, and estate professional with a complete list of tangible assets and an accounting roadmap. They are used as the basis of family division, and are a required instrument by the Internal Revenue Service for the settlement of Estates.

Appraisal fees vary according to the nature and amount of work involved, and fees will be quoted after a first hand inspection of the property. Fees quoted are based on time, with travel expenses in addition.
